I've always been in awe of Greyhounds. They're elegant and sleek. I'd see them walking in parades and think, "I want to part of that group." So just for kicks, Nathan and I visited a "meet and greet" at our local PetsMart in April of '11. We feel in love with the docile and independent creatures and decided that they were the perfect type of dog for us. In June, we made it to another meet and greet with a completed adoption application, and met Dillan. He'd lean against our legs while we petted him. Then we had this conversation.
Michelle: "What do you think?"
Nathan: "I like Dillan."
Michelle: "Do you want to take him home?"
Nathan: "Yeah."
So, we adopted a dog! And a week later he was being dropped off at our apartment to stay for -ev- er!

we have an italian greyhound mix! she is so sweet. i'm so glad to see you adopt, there are so many loveable animals out there that need a great, loving home!
